Parenting

 After a great holiday, its amazing to get in class and learn more about parenting. This is a great subject for me because I had so many good examples in my life, and now I am preparing to become a father. I know that this will be a pretty hard task, and sometimes I am not sure if I am ready, but I know that Heavenly father knows what is better for us. We all say that we have the best parents in the world, this is like a cliché; especially in my country when you want to refer about your parents. However, I really think that I got this gift from God and really have the best parents in the whole word. I don’t think they are good because of any financial matter; I think this way because I saw the many sacrifices, they did to help me succeed in life. They worked a lot to help me and my brother to go to a good school and get a better education, they bought clothes, food, traveled with us, so we could be happy. I am pretty sure that my brother feels the same I feel. This gratitude feeling comes every time I talk with them through zoom. In fact, I miss them a lot and wish they could be here with me. Now talking about my future experience as a dad, I think it will be something crazy. The closest thing to that I ever experiences was when my wife adopted a little cat, and we started to take care of it. I was one of the best moments of my life, and I also miss our cat a lot. He became like a child for us. Something that I learned is that we must use all the resources available to raise our kids. That mean that if you can, you need to put them in a good school, so they can learn from the best teachers, we can buy the best and fresh food and vegetables so they can grow healthier and all the stuff we can do to make our children happy a with a good health. We often think that this mean to be rich and buy everything for the kid, but this is not true. You can raise and well educate your kids with little money, like my parents did with me. Showing love is something you do for free and will cost you nothing. I remember when I was twelve years old, I had a friend called Daniel, and he was super fun, and a good friend to be together playing sports, but one day, when I was at his house playing games, his mom approach us, as asked him a kiss. What he did? He said, “that this kiss will cost $25 cents”. I was surprised with that. “How can a kid sell a kiss to his mother?”. I remember that I went home that night and told my mom about the experience I had that afternoon, and she said that love is something for free, and in my family, I would never see that happening around us. Little habits can change your future, I don’t know how this friend from my childhood is right now, but I am sure that if he is a parent now, he will kiss his family members for free. I know that I have everything to be a god father. My wife will also be amazing. We just need to apply everything we learn from the church every week. Let us seek the power of heaven when becoming parents.

Marriage

  I have to tell you something, I`m just loving this class so for. To be honest at the beginning, I picked this class because a friend told me that it was easy to get a good grade, so a registered for this one, but later I figured out how this class was important to me and my family. In fact, I`m learning a lot of new things, and every day I am able to share something wife my wife at home. Talking about my wife, this week we learned about marriage and how sacred is this commitment with another person. Brother Williams made me think about how marriage in my country in our days is, and I know its not seen as something sacred anymore. People are just co-habitating with each other and they don`t want to make a real commitment. I have a cousin and his “wife’’ which is a perfect example of that. Stress

 I liked this week subject a lot because we all have a lot to talk about stress. It was fun to learn how are brain works in a stressful moment, and how your whole body is addapted to suffer during those moments. I never saw a grizly bear in front of me, but for sure I went to some stressful situations in my life. To be honest, this week I am feeling like that, while I am writing this in a quiet place in the library, three girls just arrived behind me and started to talk abot the boys they are dating, and that made me stressful for a moment while I was traying to concentrate to write this blog.
